Marty Foltyn
Marty Foltyn, FMS Program Manager, is an experienced professional with over twenty
years of consistent success as a consultant and a corporate executive in directing and
managing corporate and non-profit business teams; and providing outsourced guidance,
direction, content, and support on a variety of long- and short-term development,
marketing, and communications projects. Her track record includes creating and
delivering strategic and operational programs in technology areas of memory and
storage, cloud services, healthcare, networking, security, virtualization, and the channel.
In 1999, Marty founded BitSprings Systems, a business development and marketing
consulting firm whose clientele has included Sony, IBM, Computer Associates, Overland
Storage, HP, Quantum, the Life Sciences Information Technology Global Institute, and
SNIA, where she was honored for outstanding achievements.
Marty is an effective communicator, negotiator, and decision maker who can plan, lead,
and collaborate to produce winning marketing and technical programs that achieve
goals and deliver results. She holds an MBA from Pepperdine University Graziadio
Business School and a BA in History and English from University of Maryland, College
of Arts and Humanities. When not organizing FMS tracks and sessions, Marty chairs the
Palomar Handweavers and Spinners Guild, and travels the world searching out fellow
weavers and learning their techniques.
