Academic Program

FMS looks forward to providing university students with a platform to showcase their work, and the opportunity to interact with the leaders of some of the biggest companies in our industry. Now in its 18th year, FMS has expanded its scope to encompass all tiers of Memory and Storage.

FMS is excited to offer qualified college engineering students with a complimentary, full-conference registration, a package which includes an exhibit pass and a Meet and Greet with a recruiter in exchange for the participation at this conference. We will have an Interest Form that must be submitted by June 28 by interested students. There are two ways to qualify for this offer: (1) submit a poster, or (2) volunteer a few hours of your time during the event. Those submitting a poster will need to submit details for a research project that relates to topics discussed at FMS.

Qualified students can also apply for a student travel grant that will cover up to $800 towards travel expenses. The complimentary registration enables attendance at presentations and events throughout our event.

After receipt of an acceptance notice, those submitting a poster must supply a PDF describing their project by July 5 so that we can include their names in our program material. There will also be PR and social media coverage during FMS to highlight student efforts.

2024 Academic Program Poster Example

FMS 2024 posters should display cutting edge research and work in progress. Posters provide an excellent opportunity for short presentations and informal discussions with Conference attendees. Students will give a short overview of their poster in the Theater located in the Exhibit Hall. Posters will be prominently displayed for the duration of FMS, giving students a chance to showcase their latest results and innovations. The presented posters will be digitally archived and made publicly available after FMS. A Best Poster Award will be presented based on quality of research work and quality of poster presentation. We will have the poster professionally printed, but students will have the option to print their own poster and bring it to FMS. Below are the requirements:

The poster graphic must be formatted as:

  • 3' x 4' with either vertical or horizontal orientation
  • A high-resolution, print-ready PDF

We will mount the poster on foam core, and each will be displayed on an easel in the academic booth on the show floor. As a poster presenter, we ask that you staff your poster during exhibit hours.

Please take a look at our website to get an idea of what FMS is all about, and if it is something your students would like to be a part of. We have companies from around the world attending and participating in the Exhibition Hall.

Please share and post this offer to your colleagues and students. We look forward to having your students attend.
