Academic Program
Welcome to this year's FMS: the Future of Memory and Storage conference. FMS looks forward to providing university students with a platform to showcase their work, and the opportunity to interact with the leaders of some of the biggest companies in our industry. Now in its 19th year, FMS continues to expand its scope in the realms of Memory and Storage.
FMS is excited to offer qualified college students pursuing studies in technology, engineering, and other data-driven disciplines a complimentary full-conference registration! This package includes an exhibit pass and a special "Meet and Greet" with a recruiter in exchange for the participation in the conference. To qualify, students must submit an Interest Form by June 27th and meet one of the following criteria: (1) submit a poster, or (2) volunteer 6 hours during the event. Those submitting a poster will need to submit details for a research project that relates to topics discussed at FMS, and displays cutting edge research and works in progress.
Qualified students can also apply for a student travel grant that will cover up to $800 towards travel expenses, depending on length of travel. The complimentary registration enables attendance at presentations and events throughout our event on Tuesday - Thursday, August 5th - 7th.
After receipt of an acceptance notice, those submitting a poster must supply a PDF describing their project by July 1st so that we can include student information in our program material. In addition to program recognition, student efforts will be highlighted through PR and social media coverage during FMS. Posters provide an excellent opportunity for short presentations and informal discussions with Conference attendees. Students will give a brief overview of their poster in the theater located in the Exhibit Hall.
Posters will be prominently displayed for the duration of FMS, giving students a chance to showcase their latest results and innovations. The presented posters will be digitally archived and made publicly available after the conclusion of FMS 2025. A "Best Poster" award will be presented based on the quality of research work and quality of poster presentation. Below are some of the topics that will be highlighted this year.
